After meeting Dipin, one ends up feeling that he should have been named
Deep-in. Because he is so full of new ideas, so deep is the experience
that one feels elevated. Shooting from mouth is not his forte. He rather
wants his work to speak. And if you happen to listen to his vision it
might appear as if they are on Cloud Nine. But don’t get tipsy. Look
at his feet and you will find them planted firmly on the ground.
Meet Dipin Rajrai, the Adman trying to give the real estate advertising
a new look, and also a photographer, copywriter and an Interior Designer
par excellence. As the founder of aKs Interia, his interior designing
studio cum furniture showroom in Indirapuram, he is actively engaged
in giving his clients’ interiors a makeover.
“No two jobs are similar,” he says. “Each presents a new set of challenges,
even if they are flats of same dimensions in the same apartment complex.
A home is an extension of the personality of its occupants, and as you
dress yourself up according to your tastes you should treat your home
also the same way.” He pauses. “And as professionals we apply our knowledge
to create a home that reflects you. As an Interior Designer the greatest
challenge I face is how to go about creating an interior that is truly
an extension of my client’s personality.”
That he has been successful can be gauged from the fact he has quite
an enviable list of homes done by him for a designer of his age. It
includes apart from assortment of homes of CEOs, showrooms and office
spaces as well.
His aesthetic sensibilities are contemporary; choice of color depends
on where it is being used and by whom, trying to make optimum utilization
of natural lighting and woodwork at appropriate places. Apart from walls
and fabrics he gives utmost importance to furniture and their placement.
In fact he believes that depending on your outlook and on the look of
your room, furniture should also complement the entire décor and there
is no scope for mismatch in this. It has led him to open an exclusive
furniture showroom at Gaur Gravity Mall in Indirapuram to cater to the
specific needs of his growing number of clientele. It showcases an eclectic
mix of furniture for every taste and sensibility.
